Sales Estimator

About the job

RHI Magnesita is seeking a dynamic Sales Estimator to work remotely or in one of our offices in the United States or in Canada.  This role will work closely with Sales Management, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Service, Production Plants and Purchasing.   Our Sales Estimator's provide quotations, pricing and proposals for submission to customer and analyze and review margins with Sales Personnel and analyze business cases to achieve NAM Sales and Margin Targets.

The Sales Estimator's tasks will include:

  • Review and analyze CRM Quotation Opportunities from NAM Steel Sales Managers based on: Information related to competitor or market pricing, potential sales volume, customer loyalty to RHIM and competitor, historical pricing and quotations, existing key account pricing
  • Collaborate with various personnel and sources to obtain all necessary information to prepare the quotation analysis: SAP, Production Plants, Warehouse, Packaging, Purchasing, Drawings, Market information, Customer Information, Technical Marketing, Supply Chain, Strategic Pricing, Customer Service
  • Based on data collected discuss pricing with Sales Personnel and Regional Business Manager to finalize quotation/proposal in format for presentation to customer and maintain in CRM
  • Master Pricing Files:  maintain and update corporate price files:  Prepare price adjustments
  • Develop Business Plans and Project Analysis

About you

Do you have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years Sales Estimator experience 
  • Quotation / Estimation experience
  • Analytical background
  • Detail oriented
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Top notch customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Can do attitude with high energy
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English is a plus
  • Technical/Steel/Refractory background is a plus
